About BUVGS
|
VGS was founded in the spring of 2005. It all started after a small group of gamers thought to themselves, "Wouldn't it kick ass to have alot more people to pwn?". Maybe it wasn't phrased exactly like that - but the general consensus of the group was that if they wanted to get more people together to play, they would need to form an official BU club.
Thus BUVGS, Boston University Video Game Society, was born! The club and it's game selection continued to grow, holding regular meetings and special events on campus that proved quite popular at times (despite some meetings only having four people, we were growing).
Now Fall 2007, we have a lot of experience under our belt. With a new e-Board and lots of eager new members, we've already seen 50+ people at our normal meetings. Our library is now very extensive and since we have absorbed BUDDR, the types of games we offer cover a wider range then ever. We are still expanding, planning more tournaments/activities/field trips/etc. and we are always looking for more members. That is where you come in!
If call yourself a gamer in any way, shape, or form - you owe it to yourself to at least come to a meeting and see what we are about.
Hope to see you there,
-BUVGS |

Frequently Asked Questions

A: VGS is no venerial disease i promise you that. VGS stands for Video Game Society. The name was agreed upon after much debate over a name that would properly represent what we stand for.
Q: I don't go to BU, but i live close and want to come. Can I?
A: Technically no. But we are an easygoing bunch, if you are a college student near BU, or have a friend at BU, or have any connection to BU at all we welcome you.
Q: I am not very good at games, but enjoy them regardless. Should I still come?
